East

Eastern Norway.

The three counties, Hedmark, Oppland and Buskerud, together  make up one-fifth of Norway’s total land area. Mountains, Valleys and lakes dominate the landscape, except for Buskerud  which has a coastal strip to the far south. This is a region that has attracted artists and inspired writers such as Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson  and Henrik Ibsen. It has a special appeal for climbers and hikers.
