A very comfortable cabin in an amazing location on the banks of the Lyngen fjord, looking across the water to the mountains beyond.  The property has accommodation for up to 9 guests, with hot tub and traditional Norwegian "Grill House" or barbeque hut.

Situated on a small farm in a very peaceful waterside location, the cabin offers excellent accommodation for families or groups and guests have the opportunity to meet and work with the animals on the farm if they want.  The area is great for hiking, wildlife and winter sports, and we offer guided adventure days from the cabin.

The cabin is just 1.5 hours from Tromso, via good roads, and is in one of the most beautiful and undiscovered parts of Norway.

Accommodation:

Spacious open plan kitchen/diner and living area, kitchen equipped with all appliances and utensils, full laundry facilties.

Wood burning stove

There is a TV, radio and AV equipment.

Large sofa-bed sleeping 2

Bedroom 1
: with one bed
Bedroom 2: with family bunk (double with single above)
Bedroom 3: with family bunk (double with single above)

Outside:

Large veranda with outdoor seating and fine views across the water to the mountains.

Wood Fired Hot Tub - there is a £125 charge for use of the hot tub to cover fuel.

Traditional Norwegian "Grill House" - a barbeque hut on the water - pile in, get the fire going and cook some tasty food, the perfect way to warm up after a day exploring the countryside!

Boats can also be hired to use on the fjord.

Northern Lights (October to Early April):
If you want to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, then you are in the right place.  Guests regularly see breathtaking displays of this natural phenomenon from these cabins, their location above the Arctic circle combined with low light-pollution create the perfect conditions to see the Aurora.

Dog Sledging and Arctic Adventures (November - April):
You will be collected by a local guide who will take you out into the wilderness on a traditional sled either with dogs or reindeer.  After your trip you will be taken back to a traditional Sami "lavvu" tent to warm up with a roaring fire and hot food, before heading out for "snow shoeing" and hopefully catch the Northern Lights.

These are superb and authentic adventures, our guides are highly knowledgeable and passionate about the area, its wildlife and the indigenous Sami people, who you will meet as part of your adventure.

We can also arrange thrilling snowmobile tours which take you to normally inaccessible areas across the border into Finland.

These tours are available for two or more people, we recommend booking at the same time as you reseve the cabin as availability is very limited and they take a little time to arrange.

Dog Sledging Adventure: 7 hours: £175 per person

Reindeer Sleigh Adventure: 7 hours: £125 per person

Snowmobile Safari: 7 hours: £185 per person

CHILDREN HALF PRICE ON ALL ADVENTURES (UP TO 12 YEARS)

This beautiful lodge exceeded our expectations; it was well equipped (with simply everything provided from towels to tin foil)! Hanne – Lil & Erik were amazing and so helpful; Hanne Lil spent time explaining the local area and provided us with a map & compass so we wouldn’t get lost!

We had an amazing time, and the fact that we had such a superb base and use of the BBQ hut (we spent 5 out of the 7 nights in this lovely ambient space) meant this holiday was perfect in every way. The location and panoramic views of the mountains, low light pollution and close proximity to the village meant we had the best of both worlds.

The hot tub is an experience we won’t forget (-5 outside, yet a comfortable, °40 in the tub). We were lucky to get snow & had a glimpse of the Northern Lights – it was very emotional. The scenery was out of this world & I simply cannot fault this lodge, its generous hosts & this stunning location, I would highly recommend it to all.

We are already planning our second trip - THANKS

Fabulous place and delicious strawberry jam!

We had a lovely time! Hanne-Lil and Eirik were excellent hosts. When we arrived on Easter Saturday without any food, and all the shops were shut until the following Tuesday, they raided their own freezer for us and supplied us with delicious rations to last (the most superb homemade strawberry jam I have ever tasted!!)

The cabin was in the most idyllic, quiet spot on the fjord and was generally well fitted out and clean.

The only criticism we would have is that there were no wardrobes!
