Lovlia Lakeside Apartment

"The property was excellent, we visited while it was minus 24 at night with deep snow and it was absolutely beautiful and very warm inside! The wood burning stove was so efficient, the kitchen was superbly kitted out and it was so quiet and peaceful. It was just what we wanted, needing rest, relaxation and it was enchanting."

"Just returned from a fantastic winter holiday with 2 teenagers at Lovlia. The apartment is equiped with everything you could possibly need, cosy and warm even in the coldest of weather, (-20 some nights!) Well situated for skiing, skating, sledging and icefishing and exploring southern Norway. 15 mins from Risor with restaurants and shops and close to large supermarket. A lovely drive from a very family friendly ski resort - Gautefall. Owners extremely helpful and genuine, would highly recommend this apartment to everyone."

"Quiet and lovely place with a very nice lakeview Easy to find thanks to the owners explanations. Close to Risor and Tvedestrand (shops, sightseing, ...) - 10 minutes by car - , and 90 minutes from Torp Airport. Amazing walks in the neighbourhoods (if you are not keen on fishing in the lake). All comfort needed available : kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge, deepfreeze, coffee machine, ... Living room with TV, DVD, playstation II, cable and wireless connection for computers Warm and very friendly welcome."

"We have just returned from a weeks winter holiday at this lovely apartment. The apartment is superbly equipped. It is warm and homely, and always cosy. The setting is stunning, and I have never had a more peaceful and relaxing holiday. We had a wonderful time playing in the 18 inches of snow on the lake and in the surrounding hills. We did loads of sledging in the hills, borrowing the sledges and spark thoughtfully provided. It really was the Winter Wonderland that we had hoped for. The hosts, Tony and Lisa, were always helpful, but unobtrusive. We really hope to return one day, in the summer, to see this beautiful area in its summer splendour. Thank you for a wonderful week."

"The property is well equipped with everything you could need and is situated in a beautiful location with fantastic views from the window.Tony the owner is on hand with lots of help and advice if you need him but he never intrudes.All in all we had a fantastic week at Lovlia and would recommend it to anyone and we will definitely return."

"We welcomed in the New Year 2009 at Lake Lovlia and will never forget it. Wood burning fire, bbq and the stars to entertain us whilst sitting on the balcony listening to nothing but peace and tranquility. Lake lovlia apt caters for everything and more. The owners Tony and Lisa could not do enough for us and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Tony took us ice skating on the lake and showed us many walks. We will be back again and again.... A truly special place to be...Thankyou"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lovlia. The apartment is beautiful, extemely well equipped and very comfortable. The view is outstanding even on a rainy day! The hosts cannot do enough for you. We were able to phone for directions when we got lost and my husband had the use of Tonys boat on the lake which he enjoyed. A 10 minute drive from the pretty town of Risor and every corner you turn is yet another lake. A wonderful place and wonderful people - would love to see it both in the summer and when its completely covered in snow in the winter. Will definitely go back sometime."

"A beautiful apartment, thoughtfully furnished and decorated. Very well equipped, especially to entertain children when the weather is poor. Excellent hosts who are extremely helpful , welcoming and generous. Great location by lakeside with loads of lovely walks and scenery within the immediate surroundings. Fantastically quiet. Great for relaxation. A fishing and stalking paradise ( my husband did this with a camera instead of the usual gun!)"
