The hotel offers classically styled rooms with panoramic views over the ocean and the nearby islands. Parts of the hotel, date back to 1861 and the patrician building style is well conserved.
Most of us have a picture of Risor during the light, lazy and warm summer months. But the smoothly polished rock-face jutting out into Skagerrak is an adventure throughout the year. The dramatic scenery is in perfect harmony with the tranquillity surrounding it. Every day produces its own version of colour, sound and space.
"Inger Johanne Mat & Vinstue" - is a restaurant reserved for you who appreciate food and wine - preferably good food, and good wine. We have an excellent choice of meat dishes, but our pride is in the different fish courses - what else can you do, in a city as Risør.
With daily deliveries from the local fishmarket, and our mussels are hand picked only minutes away by boat. Combined with a wide variety of wine - and each wine is served at the right temperature - this is where the heart and soul of the hotel is.
