Summer Holidays in Norway
Although it is not often thought of as a place for summer holidays, Norway has far more than you can possibly imagine. Quiet seaside beaches, temperatures well into the 20's, and as much sun as you can soak up.
Then there is the quality of the air. The smell of the forest, wildlife in abundance; magnificent nature and picturesque towns. The glorious thing about Norway is you are so near to such a wide range of scenery.
Summer in Norway is a season of enchantment, a time to move through hours of almost endless light, to sit in a garden or on a sea rock, reading or watching a lone fisherman calmly cast his line into the still waters of a fjord. The deepest part of evening is more twilight than night, with ghostly wisps of clouds suspended between the mountains and meadows.

Southern Norway - Sørlandet
The counties of the southern tip of Norway is a favourite with the Norwegians so it is fair to say that Sørlandet is well worth visitng. From the point at which the county of Telemark touches the coast down to the southern tip at Kristiansand, the region is dotted with quaint coastal towns and villages, and has an abundance forests, mountains, rivers and lakes. The numerous sheltered bays and and beaches give ample opportunity to hike, bike, fish and swim, or just generally relax and take in the stunning countryside.
Accommodation in Southern Norway is so varied and you can always find something to suit whether you are travelling alone or with your family.
