| Spring Holidays in Norway |
|
Spring is a great time to visit Norway, from mid April the snow starts to thaw and spring flowers emerge, and in May the national day (17th May) is a big event in the Norwegian calendar, when the locals enjoy a public holiday and celebrate their independence with flags, parades and traditional dress. Visiting Norway before the main summer season starts can also be better value, accommodation is cheaper and the climate is very pleasant, with the long winter nights quickly giving way to long sunny days. The famous Midnight Sun season starts in the north from late May and is truly spectacular, enjoy midnight walks in full daylight or perhaps a round of golf! |
