From the seat of a bicycle you will experience the country in a more direct and real way. You can take a short tour, maybe only a modest day trip, or a tour lasting for a week or more.

The organisation Cycle Tourism in Norway has been active in getting an assortment of cycle routes marked and has assembled information about the routes into a single publication. The routes are signposted and follow roads that have little or no automobile traffic. You will find places to rent cycles and cycle-friendly accommodation along the routes. You set the pace yourself and decide how far you want to ride. You are free to stop whenever you like to enjoy the countryside.
