Nordseter, situated close to Lillehammer is a popular and family friendly ski centre, with an emphasis on cross country skiing, having access to 350km of prepared trails.  It is close to Sjusjoen which is recognised as the world centre for cross country.

There is also good snow boarding and downhill for beginners, but more experience alpine skiers will usually head to Hafjell (25km north) which is one of the biggest and best alpine resorts in Norway.

Nordseter is easy to reach by car or by the Vinterbussen (winterbus) which runs between Lillehammer, Hafjell, Nordseter and Sjusjoen from early December until the end of April.

The Aronsloypa ski slope at Drammen is a super facility for everyone who loves to ski or snowboard.

With all manner of jumps and rails in the ski park, it is a favourite site for children and young people.

The ski centre has 4km of ski slopes, 300 metres altitude difference. Ski instruction and ski rental available.

• Osterdalen Østerdalen

Osterdalen Ski Centre, just north of Hayward, has great slopes for skiing and snowboarding.

The centre has two lifts and five runs, three for adults and two for children. The slopes have a drop of 218 metres.

The centre also offers ski and snowboard rental and has a cafeteria. The centre has floodlighting and evening opening on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cross-country skiing is available on the Birkebeiner Trail.

Al in Hallingdal is a ski resort located between Geilo and Hemsedal. The ski resort has a large family area, as well as areas for freestyle and jibbing. The ski area ranges from 570m to 1042m, has 5 ski lifts and offers 15km of prepared runs. The skiing area is equipped with snow cannons, and has prepared runs of various levels of difficulty.

There are designated runs and areas both for beginners, children and advanced skiers. Starting in Al, you have access to 400 km of prepared cross-country tracks in mountain and forest terrain, and the landscape with its enormous mountain ranges have contributed to Al's status as an Eldorado for lovers of nature, both in winter and summer.

Al Ski Centre is best known for the Svarteberg Trail. In addition, we can boast one of the Hallingdal's best slopes for beginners and children, with free lift in the barn area.

Vradal Panorama Ski Centre is located in Telemark, in Southern Norway. We have 5 lifts, including the first 8 person chairlift in the world, 15 runs on 15km. The longest run is 3,6km, with vertical drop off 473m. We also have an alpine-village with Norwegian timber cabin reaching to the top of the mountains. During summer the activity level is just as high as wintertime. Fishing, walking, swimming, golf and horseback riding are some of the activities you find in Vradal. Vradal has 2 hotels, chalet-parks, shops, tourist office, bank, museums, horse centre, silversmith workshop and more.

Great possibilities for cross country skiing!

In Vradal you find cross country trails in forest- and mountain terrain. At the top of the mountain there is a loop of 4 km, and another trail from the top of the lift to Haegfjell. This is a full day's ski trek. Information about groomed trails and trail maps are available at the ski centre and overnight stops in Vradal.
A new area for children right next to the chairlift was opened last season.
2 conveyor lifts, each 100 m, provide easy and safe transport even for the smallest children.
The children area has a sheltered location next to the main slope where they can ski, slide and play in between installed figures.

Valdres only slightly more than a 2 hour north of Oslo. Valdres ski resort is beautifully situated at the sunny side of the mountain, and has 4 ski lifts and 11 runs in all difficulty levels. The skiing area ranges from an altitude of 700 to 1060m, and the terrain is varied with lots of features for snowboarders and freestylers. The designated children's has a ski lift and a free "magic carpet"/conveyor belt for the small ones. There are ski in-ski out accommodations at the summit of the resort. Food and beverages are served, and there is a ski rental by the slopes.

Uvdal ski resort is beautifully situated at the foot of Hardangervidda, the mountain range in the middle of Southern Norway. It's only a 3 hour drive from Oslo and the cities in Vestfold, and 40 minutes from Geilo. The area is great for experiencing the mountains in winter and in summer, and perfect for skiers and hikers alike. Uvdal has 4 ski lifts, 10 runs and a drop of more than 600m. The cross-country tracks start right by the chair-lift, and are connected to the network of trails criss-crossing the whole of the Hardangervidda mountain range.

Uvdal Resort is located at the top of the Numedal, at the foot of Hardangervidda, Northern Europe's largest alpine mountain plateau. Here are the challenges for the whole family, from children ground / area to the competition trail. Senterets longest slope is the entire 6.2 kilometres long and there are 12 different slopes to choose from. A total of over 20 kilometres of slopes, and alpine altitude difference is in the entire 620 meters.
Dagali Mountain has 12 round trails for cross enthusiasts, with a total of more than 90 km prepared track.
