Hemsedal
Hemsedal is one the most popular and largest ski resorts in Norway with 48 pistes and 21 lifts. It also has the highest Alpine point in Scandinavia at 1500 metres and a vertical drop of 810 metres. Hemsedal is a small village situated 625 - 1920 meters above sea level in the heart of the Norwegian mountain wilds where summer hiking provides some spectacular scenery. But it is winter that the area is really famed for.
The stable climate at Hemsedal ensures good skiing between November and May for all levels. There are 19 green, 12 blue 9 red and 8 black pistes, ski schools and a children's area.
